AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to miss his side’s crucial clash against defending champions Juventus.
The news was confirmed by head Coach Stefano Piolo who revealed that Ibrahimovic is yet to recover fully after he sustained a muscle strain during his side’s 3-2 victory over Guttaso’s Napoli in November, 2020.
AC Milan were optimistic of seeing their talisman feature after he posted a video of himself scoring in training, but Pioli has insisted that the player will not be available against Juventus.
I scolded Ibra for that video because then you bombarded me with messages to find out if he had recovered,” Pioli told a pre-match press conference.Advertisement
He’s better, he’s working well, but he won’t be there tomorrow.
Zlatan has missed 10 games in the league since his injury, but Milan have fared well in his absence as they continue to sit top of the Serie A.
Pioli’s men are 10 points ahead of Juventus and could extend that to 13 with a win.
