This week will predominantly be an indie week on Xbox One, which will feature several interesting new games, such as  Tour de France, The Sims 4, Cyber Protocol and Strawberry Vinegar. Let’s look at the complete list of games coming this week courtesy Mike Nelson.

Strawberry Vinegar – June 3

“In this visual novel, save your soul from being devoured by making delicious food! Sakuraba Rie is a cynical and grumpy girl who cares little for her fellow classmates and does not have a single friend. That is until a self-proclaimed demon from the deepest, darkest pits of Hell suddenly appears in Rie’s kitchen and steals a tray of cookies.”

Depth of Extinction – June 3

“In a flooded future world, killer machines are plotting mankind’s demise. As the sole defender of humanity’s last government, only you can create the ultimate squad and save humanity in this turn-based, tactical RPG with roguelike elements.”

Awesome Pea 2 – June 3

“Now with even more dark dungeons, deadly traps, and gold! Awesome Pea 2 is the next chapter of a classic platformer game with pixel, GameBoy–style graphics, 25 levels, a retro soundtrack, and lots of shiny coins.”

Tour de France 2020 – June 4

“Experience the intensity of the Tour de France with the official game! To wear the yellow jersey on the Champs-Elysées, you will need to take risks, attack, sprint and perfect your race tactics. Try out the new, immersive first-person camera and test it in the iconic Liège-Bastogne-Liège race or with the all-new time-trial gameplay. A great way to experience the Tour de France in leu of its postponement this year.”

Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio – June 5

“Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio is a challenging 8-bit, 2D platformer with non-stop action that incentivizes quick thinking, platforming precision, and memorization. Visually and from an auditory standpoint, everything about the game is designed to look and feel like an old school 8-bit game.”

Outbuddies DX – June 5

“Experience real non-linear Metroidvania gameplay and uncover five distinct areas, all with remarkable puzzles, environmental hazards, epic boss encounters and captured Wozan to uncage. The local co-op option invites a second player to explore and experience this adventure together. Support each other on your journey home, solve puzzles, and overcome Bahlam’s hostile maze.”

The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle – June 5

“Play to change and make a difference in The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle expansion pack! Move into a community of fellow collaborative makers to help your new neighbours decide on a Community Space Project, reduce your eco-footprint, and watch your neighbourhood transform. Ready for your Sims to impact their world? Requires The Sims 4 base game to play.”

We Were Here Together –  June 5

“Embark on a puzzle-solving adventure in which you and a partner must prove you can communicate and work together to escape the haunted Castle Rock. You and your partner start out with nothing but your wits and a walkie-talkie each. Observation, smart communication, and teamwork will be the only way to escape from the sinister castle.”

Rigid Force Redux–  June 5

“Classic shoot’em up action in modern 3D! Blast off and take down hordes of infected aliens and dreadful machines programmed on waging an intergalactic war against mankind. Arm your fighter with numerous upgradeable weapon systems. Collect Energy Orbs to fill up your energy supply and eventually unleash an extremely powerful blast against your foes!”

Cyber Protocol –  June 5

“An arcade puzzle game set in a cyberpunk world with strong and dynamic gameplay. If you want to test your logical skills and reflex, and you love the retro style and good energetic music, grab a controller. All of the android G0X6’s life processes were shut down and the only way to bring him back is to hack his security system and manually start the recovery protocol.”
