PSG have undoubtedly gotten themselves in a very difficult position going into the 4th week of the 2020/2021 UEFA champions league season.
The team came into the new campaign with high hopes and hoping to improve on the second-place finish they secured the last term but things have not exactly gone as planned.
After securing a win against their Turkish opponents İstanbul Başakşehir, Paris Saint Germain has been unable to win a game or draw in their last two fixtures. They lost 2-1 at home against Manchester United before being defeated by RB Leipzig a few weeks ago.
Those results have put them in a very difficult position as they are now behind Manchester United and RB Leipzig in the table by 6 points.
What does a loss for PSG mean?
A loss for PSG and a win for Manchester United at Old Trafford against İstanbul Başakşehir will mean that both Leipzig and United will be six points ahead of PSG and both teams will need just a draw in their last two fixtures to secure qualification to the next phase of the competition.
A draw against RB Leipzig will also mean that PSG needs to win both fixtures against Manchester United at Old Trafford and İstanbul Başakşehir in Turkey.
To be on the safer side the, Thomas Tuchel’s side needs to win tonight against RB Leipzig.
