Manchester United Legend, Paul Scholes, in an interview with BT Sports has said that Chelsea can’t win the Premier League this season due to the lack of creativity in their midfield. Frank Lampard’s team lost their second consecutive match in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Blues‘ lastest defeat leaves them five point adrift league leaders Spurs and Liverpool having played a game more.

Football fans and lovers tipped Chelsea as title favourites for the 2020/21 league because of the quality and strength in their team, with the likes of Timo Werner, Ziyech and Thiago Silva all joining the club in the summer.

The midfield General had also done same but he now feels the likes of Kai Havertz and Mount are not ready to help Chelsea win the trophy.

I just think there’s a little bit a lack of creativity on the pitch. [N’Golo] Kante does what he does brilliantly well and he’s got two young players next to him in Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, who I think will be sensational players, but that’s why I don’t think they’ll win the league this year,” Scholes said.

It’s a bit early for them. They’ll be up there, close to Manchester City and Liverpool I just don’t think they are that ready, he added.
