NBA Notebook: Curry’s ‘insane’ 3 pointers record seal Warriors victory
Stephen Curry erupted for 40 points and 10 3-pointers to guide the Golden State Warriors to victory against the Magic on Thursday night. The victory over Magic was a follow up of Tuesday’s victory over Spurs.
In his 37 minutes on the court, Curry dropped 40 points and secured 8 rebounds and 5 assists as well to take Warriors to 14-12.
Majority of Curry’s points were from 3 pointers and saw him set a new record of his own. It was his 17th career game with 10 3-pointers, more than the next 5 players on the list combined (16).

The latest record only enhances his profile as one of the prolific shooters in the NBA currently, with the player also noted for the 105 3-pointers he shot during practice.
The matchup itself was a competitive one, with both Warriors and Magic leading at different points of the game. Warriors took an early lead in the first quarter as they finished with a 29-19 score.
Orlando Magic then came in strongly in the second quarter and before the break with a 36-18 lead, only for the Warriors to return to the driving seat with a 37-25 win.
The Golden State Warriors then finished the matchup with the smallest of margins in the last quarter with a 27-25 score to take the total score to 111-105.
In the other matchups, Eastern conference leaders, Philadelphia 76ers lost against the Portland Trail Blazers 118-114 while Celtics also emerged triumphant over Raptors.
