The Brazilian netted in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Benfica in the Champions League this evening, consequently extending his tally to 20 for the Reds.

It is the same number of goals that Fernando Torres scored for the club and Firmino now has the opportunity to eclipse the Spaniard when Liverpool play Villareal in the semi-final of the Champions league this season.

The Brazilian has also gotten closer to equaling Steven Gerrard’s number of goals scored in the Champions league (21).

He is also a goal behind Sadio Mane in the same chart and 13 behind Mohammed Salah who currently leads the chart.

Liverpool get the job done

Firmino was one of the scorers as Liverpool secured a 3-3 draw at Anfield, a result that puts them through to the semis of this year’s Champions League.

The Reds defeated Benfica 1-3 in the first leg, giving Klopp the opportunity to rotate his side in the 2nd leg ahead of a crucial encounter with Manchester City in the FA Cup over the weekend.
