Thomas Tuchel sacked by PSG; Pochettino likely to take charge

Less than 24 hours after Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-1 home win over Strasbourg , the French club have sacked their head coach, Thomas Tuchel, with former Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino likely to be appointed the next manager of the club.

Thomas Tuchel joined Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of the 2018-19 season and has won back-to-back league titles as well as the French cup and league cup last season.

He also guided the club to the Champions League finals last season but after an uninspiring start to the season, he has been sacked by the club. PSG are currently third in Ligue 1, a point behind leaders Lyon, having won 11 of their first 17 league games.

Former Tottenham Hotspurs, Mauricio Pochettino who has been out of work since his sacking is reportedly in talks with the hierarchy of PSG and could be the next manager within the next few days.
