Nikolas Nartey Nears Full Return to VfB Stuttgart Training

Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Nikolas Nartey is edging closer to a full return to training with VfB Stuttgart, as confirmed by head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.

Speaking during a press conference ahead of Stuttgart’s clash with Borussia Dortmund, Hoeneß provided updates on both Nartey and his teammate Ameen.

“Niko is almost fully in the game but still behind in terms of fitness,” Hoeneß shared. Nartey, who has been sidelined with cartilage damage in his knee, has rejoined team training but will need more time to build up his conditioning.

Despite resuming training, Nartey is not expected to feature in the squad for upcoming fixtures as he continues his recovery. His gradual reintegration is a positive development for Stuttgart, but patience will be required as he works towards regaining full fitness.
