NBA Week 6: Jokic wins back to back player of the week alongside James Harden

Jokic was named as the Western conference's player for week 5 and has retained that status


Nikola Jokic has retained his status as the NBA player of the week for the Western conference, following his successive claim of the accolade in week 5 and 6 of the NBA season.

Jokic was named alongside Joel Embid as the players of the week for week 5 and has retained it after an impressive performance with the Denver Nuggets.


He is joined by James Harden who also propelled the Brooklyn Nets to a phenomenal week as they went on an impressive winning streak with their star studded trio.

In week 6, Jokic made four appearances for the Denver Nuggets and helped them secure wins in all of those matchups.

He grew into the week as he dropped 35 and 47 points in his third and fourth games against Spurs and Jazz respectively. Earlier before that, he had scored 20 points against Mavericks and 21 points against Heat.


James Harden was also in fine form as he guided the Brooklyn Nets to victories in the three matchups he was involved in in NBA week 6.

His triple double against Thunder was his third of the season and saw him become the second Net in the last 25 years with three triple-doubles in a season.


Harden in NBA week 6 also became the first Net since Stephon Marbury to score 30 points and make 15 assists in a game against the Hawks.
