Michael Owen reveals his prediction for Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspurs
Michael Owen has given his prediction for Liverpool’s game against Tottenham Hotspurs on Wednesday night and has backed the Reds to overcome injury crisis to pick up a victory at Anfield.
Liverpool goes into the game against Tottenham with many of its first choice starters struggling with injuries.
Joe Gomez, Virgil Van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Shaqiri, Thiago Alcantara and Keira are all out with injuries and are unavailable for tonight’s game.
But the former Liverpool forward Owen, believes the Champions still have enough to beat Mourinho’s side.
“This is Spurs’ acid test. Undefeated in their last 11 games, Jose Mourinho’s side will come into this hopeful they can get a result, he said.
“I’m expecting them to sit in and go through a bit of pain with the intention to hit on the counter-attack.
“Although I think that could work to a certain extent, I reckon Liverpool simply have too much quality going forward.
“Sadio Mane is playing wonderfully at the moment. He could be the main man in a narrow home win for the Liverpool. Liverpool 2-1.”
