Maxwell Konadu reacts to Olympics defeat
Following their latest 1-0 defeat to Accra Great Olympics on Thursday afternoon, Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu, has admitted that it was a very difficult game for the Porcupine warriors but they have already learnt some lessons from the loss.
Michael Yeboah’s second half strike handed Accra Great Olympics a crucial 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko who play four games in the next 10 days.
Asante Kotoko came into this afternoon’s game with high hopes after securing their first win of the season against Legon Cities last week, but they were unable to continue that run, with Olympics emerging victorious on the afternoon.
In his post match interview, Asante Kotoko Head Coach Maxwell Konadu indicated it was a tough game against the opponent but his side will work on the lessons they have picked from today’s game.
It was a difficult game. The first half we didn’t look good but we came into the second half and started doing the basic things. We have taken lessons from this and will work on them”, he said.
The defeat leaves Kotoko 11th on the standings of the Ghana Premier League while Great Olympics move to 5th on the league log.
Kotoko will play Dreams FC in match week six at Dawu before hosting Al Hilal in the CAF champions League a few days later.
