After winning their historic Premier League trophy two season ago, Klopp’s men were unable to defend it largely due to their awful injury record.

With all their key players now fit, the Anfield boys are determined to regain their crown this season.

Their intention and ambition has been underlined by the number of goals scored in the first stage of the new season.

Liverpool have scored 43 goals so far this season which is by far the best this season. Only Chelsea come a bit closer with 33 goals this season.

According to Premier League statistics, the 43 goals scored would be a record if not for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

At this stage of the season (14 games played) only Man City in both 2011/12 (48) and 2017/18 (44) have scored.

Liverpool play Wolves today and will hope to add to that tally.
