Liverpool have submitted their official 22-man squad for the 2024/25 Premier League season, featuring seven homegrown players
Following the transfer window’s closure, Arne Slot’s Liverpool squad is confirmed for the first part of the 2024/25 Premier League season. The Reds signed Federico Chiesa as their sole addition, reinforcing their attacking options.
Premier League rules permit clubs to register a squad of up to 25 players, with a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players, given that at least eight homegrown players are included. Liverpool has listed seven homegrown players, leading to a 22-man squad.
Notable homegrown players include goalkeepers Caoimhin Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros, defenders Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and midfielders Curtis Jones, Tyler Morton, and Tom Hill. Hill, who is now 21, made his lone senior appearance almost five years ago but is part of the first-team squad.
Young talents like Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott, Trey Nyoni, James McConnell, and Jayden Danns are registered as under-21 players and do not need to be included in the squad. Additionally, loaned-out players Ben Doak and Lewis Koumas are listed on the under-21 roster.
This squad will stay as is until the winter transfer window closes in January.
Slot’s squad provides flexibility and depth, with at least two choices for each position. The Dutch manager will have plenty of room to rotate and adjust his lineup throughout the season. Liverpool aims to kick off the campaign strongly with their current roster.
