The Black Stars of Ghana are intensifying their preparations ahead of their crucial encounter against Sudan this afternoon. Goals from Andre Ayew ensured that CK Akonnor’s men sealed a 2-0 victory last week and they will seek to make it two out of two against Sudan.
Unfortunately for the Black Stars, they will be without skipper Andre Ayew and first-choice goalkeeper, Richard Ofori who is out suspended. Fatau Dauda has joined the squad while Mubarak Wakaso is set to make a return to the starting line up.
We, therefore, take a look at the likely lineup for the Black Stars against Sudan.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi is set to be in the goal post for the suspended Richard Ofori while Baba Rahman will likely maintain his position at left-back after impressing in last week’s game.
Nicholas Opoku will play at right-back while the centre back pairing will be John Boye and Alexander Djiku.
In midfield, Afriyie Acquah is set to partner the returning Mubarak Wakaso with Tariqe Fosu and Jeffery Schlupp giving support from the right and left flanks respectively.
Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew who is expected to captain the side will play as a supporting striker behind Caleb Ekuban.
