Lakers star LeBron James matched a record he shares with Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan by scoring 30 points in a win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

Despite the fact that he is about to turn 37 years old next December 30, King James added his fourth game in the last five with at least 30 points, to score a total of 155 points in his last five NBA games.

According to the Stats By STATS Twitter account, the only basketball player to have achieved these records at age 36 or older had been Jordan.

LeBron’s mentality

This is one more mark to the long and successful career of James, who despite his seniority remains one of the greatest figures in the entire league.

LeBron himself has spoken about how in his mindset he doesn’t take age as a factor in determining whether or not his performance is still that of an All-Star.

“For me, I don’t really believe in a lot of days in between, whatever the case may be. That’s just my mindset,” James said. “I don’t really get involved in how many minutes I play. I don’t confine to that. I think when you think negative thoughts, negative energy, it just creeps into your mind. I’m as young as I’ve ever been.”

LeBron and his son Brony together?

James is a proud father of one Bronny James, who is currently in highschool and already playing like an NBA rookie. He is already an impressive 6’4″ at age 17, Bronny can already dunk the ball and he is impressing all scouts that go to see him.

It’s still unclear if he will take the same route his father took to play int he NBA, which was straight from highschool with no stops in any college. If he were to do that, there’s a good chance that LeBron can actually play either with or against his son in the same league. We all imagine how cool that would be, right? Barring a rule change from the NBA, Bronny won’t be eligible to draft until 2024.
