Lakers forward Dennis Schroder suffered a mild ankle sprain during preseason match, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel revealed after their game with Phoenix Suns.

The 27 year old German basketball player suffered the injury in the third quarter of the preseason match up against Sun.

Schroder, who was acquired by Lakersfrom the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason assured reporters after the game that his injury was nothing serious.

My ankle is pretty good,” Schröder said. “I got treatment on it already, iced it during the game. So, I think there’s nothing to worry about. We’ll see how it’s feeling tomorrow, in the morning. I think it’s pretty alright.

The German scored 17 points on 7-17 shooting from the field through two appearances with the Lakers and also contributed 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
