Kotoko’s CAF Champions League game against Al Hilal called off
Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League game against Sudanese side Al Hilal has been called off after a significant number of players of the Ghanaian based club tested positive for Covid-19, just few hours before kick off.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko, prior to the game were informed that seven players and four officials from their camp had tested positive for covid-19 and were left at the hotel after the announcement of the results.
As a result, the club were unable to present the minimum number of required players to start the game.
The club have contested the results and have indicated through their official Twitter page that they have petitioned CAF on the issue and are waiting for a response.
