The NBA has fined Houston Rocket star James Harden $50,000 for violating the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the league revealed on Wednesday night.
The league said the 2018 MVP violated the protocols when he attended a private indoor party on Monday, Dec. 21.
James Harden’s fine comes after the Rockets’ season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder was rescheduled due to Houston’s lack of available players.
The 31 year old guard was ruled unavailable for the game due to the health and safety violation.
The Rocket Gurad has been in the spotlight with rumours circulating that the he is looking to be traded out of Houston.
The Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets have reportedly had “exploratory talks” with the Rockets about the former MVP.
