Ghana Premier League: Week 3 preview

The 3rd week of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season begins tomorrow when struggling Legon Cities face Tarkwa based side Medaeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The game will be the first for newly appointed Legon Cities coach Bashir Hayford who replaces Goran Barjaktarevic who was sacked last week.

The fixtures for the third week of the Ghana Premier League continues on Saturday and Sunday although there will be no action for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold who will be engaged in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup competitions respectively.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be hoping to change their awful history in recent times by securing a good result against their Mauritanian counterparts and securing qualification to the next stage of the competition.

But there are interesting games coming up over the weekend with Ebusua Dwarfs playing home to Berekum Chelsea who secured a vital home draw against Kotoko in last week’s game.

Accra Hearts of Oak who drew 2-2 with Ashanti Gold will also hope to secure their first win of the season when they travel to play Inter Allies.
