George Hill unhappy with NBA’s strict COVID-19 protocols

The Oklahoma City Thunder guard George Hill reacted, unhappily, to NBA’s strict COVID-19 protocols that were announced on Tuesday.

The new guidelines require players and staff to quarantine at home or hotel, when they do not practice or play. The only exceptions are in relation to essential activities and working out outside.

Reacting to the new guidelines, an unhappy George Hill said:

They can’t tell me I have to stay in the room 24/7. If it’s that serious then maybe we shouldn’t be playing. It’s life. No one’s gonna be able to just cancel their whole life for this game. That’s how I think about it.

I just don’t understand some of the rules as far as we can sweat 48 minutes with the guy next to us and the team next to us, but we can’t talk to him after the game. It makes no sense.

The new NBA covid protocols comes in as a result of an increase number of recorded positives cases in the last few weeks that has seen several games being postponed.
