Frank Vogel reacts to Lakers’ home loss to the Blazers

Los Angeles Lakers head coach, Frank Vogel has spoken after his side’s home loss to the Portland Trail Blazers (115-107).

Vogel noted that the Lakers started the game with great energy, but failed to sustain to sustain that and allowed Portland to take over after that.

The Lakers won the first quarter with an eight point difference (30-22) but surrendered to a defeat in the second (24-36). They then bounced back in the third (31-26) before losing the fourth (107-115).

Vogel thus lamented his side’s inconsistency as they lost 107-115 at the end of the game.

“I thought we came out with great energy, sort of jumped on them and built up that early lead. We just weren’t able to sustain it for whatever reason,” Vogel said

Vogel also noted the Lakers were “stuck in mud at times tonight”, but didn’t want to blame the congested nature of fixtures.

Los Angeles Lakers have now dropped to 2-2, whereas the Blazers has improved to 2-1. Lakers will face San Antonio Spurs on Thursday whereas Blazers will play Clippers.
