Yesterday in the English Premier League
Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspurs winless run was stretched to four league matches as their attempt to defend a lead in 90mins backfired, with Wolves coming back to snatch a deserved equaliser in the dying minutes.
The result was certainly a blow for Spurs who now seem far away from the top half of the Premier League table after a brilliant start to the season which saw them defeat the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
They have now picked up just two points out of their last four games in the English Premier League.
Elsewhere at Anfield, Semi Ayaji struck late to deny Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool victory and extend Big Sam’s unbeaten run at Anfield.
Ayayi headed home an 82nd minute equaliser to claim a 1-1 draw at Anfield after Mane had opened the scoring for Liverpool.
Mane’s goal was his 69th Premier League goal for the defending champions and he now ties former Liverpool and Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez for goals scored in the Premier League.
The draw will also delight as Big Sam who lost his first game last week after replacing Slaven Bilic.
