Anthony Davis suffered an Achilles strain on Sunday night, following his return to the Lakers setup, as the Denver Nuggets ended their winning streak.
Davis had previously been sidelined due to an ailment and missed two contests in the process but returned in their win over Memphis on Friday.
He was however, withdrawn out of their latest matchup and replaced by Kyle Kuzma in the third quarter after bumping legs with Denver’s Nikola Jokic.

The player was marked as questionable with what was described as right Achilles tendinosis even before the game but went ahead to begin for his side.
His departure in the second quarter created a gap in the team as they lost their first game after recording seven wins on the bounce in the NBA season.

Davis finished with 15 points and four rebounds in 14 minutes.
Despite the defeat, the Los Angeles Lakers are still in second place in the western conference behind Utah Jazz with 21-7.
