NBA Notebook: Curry drops 57 points and 11 threes in Warriors’ defeat
Not even an incredible Stephen Curry could stop the Golden State Warriors from suffering defeat at the hands of Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
With a 134-132 score, Dallas emerged victorious on Saturday night although Stephen Curry had dropped close to 60 points for the Warriors in the matchup.
In his 37 minutes on the court, Steph Curry dropped 57 points including 11 threes while making 2 rebounds and 5 assists in the game. He has now recorded a career high of 50+ points in eight games.
The second highest scorer for Warriors was Wiggins who had 22 points followed by Bazemore with 20 and Oubre with 14 points.
On the side of Mavericks, Luka Doncic secured a double double as he scored 42 points and recorded 11 assists while making 7 rebounds in the game.
The Dallas Mavericks dominated and did the damage in the first half of the game as they won 35-31 and 37-33 in the first and second quarters respectively.
Warriors took control of the second half, winning 34-37 in the third and 28-31 in the fourth but it was not enough to prevent a defeat on Saturday.
After the matchup Luka Doncic praised Warriors’ Stephen Curry, saying: “He’s an amazing player, he changed this game, and it’s always fun to play against him.”
