Former Tottenham Manager, Christian Gross named new Schalke manager

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss, Christian Gross has been named the new manager of Bundesliga side, Schalke 04.

Gross who earlier announced his retirement back in May 2020, to bring to an end his 32 year career, was appointed as head coach at Ali Alhi Jeddah back in October.

The 66 year-old Swiss now joins Schalke 04 as their fourth manager of the season.

The Bundesliga outfit started the 2020/ 21 season with David Wagner as manager, before he was replaced with Manuel Baum, who was axed just last week.

Christian Gross has a valuable wealth of experience, having coached VFB Stuttgart, Grasshopper Zurich, Basel, and BSC Young Boys.

His main task will be to get the best out of a Schalke 04 side who sit bottom of the ongoing Bundesliga table with just four points from 13 league games.
