UCL Preview: Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain

The Camp Nou hosts the standout fixture of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday as PSG visit Barcelona for the first leg.

The Blaugranas head into this encounter on the back of seven consecutive victories and have a special history against the Parisens and will want to put their best foot forward at the Camp Nou on Tuesday.


The French outfit, Paris Saint-Germain, head into this encounter after a slip to their title race. Mauricio Pochettino troop’s will be aiming to cause some more troubles to the Catalan side like they have done in the past.

Miralem Pjanic and Sergino Dest both recovered from injury to play at the weekend but the likes of Phillipe Coutinho, Martin Braithwaite, Ansu Fati and Gerard Pique are still sidelined.

Antoine Griezmann is expected to keep his place in the team as Ousmane Dembele and Pedri are also likely to return to the starting lineup against the Parisens.

Unfortunately for PSG, they will visit the Camp Nou without ‘Remontada’ hero, Neymar. The former Barcelona man has been ruled out of a return to his former club, but with Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi set to start, PSG aren’t exactly devoid of attacking quality.

Angel Di Maria and Juan Bernat are struggling with their fitness and are expected to sit out of the from the squad while Rafinha and Colin Dagba also sustained knocks and might not be risked against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
